Safe Spaces is a free, online training designed to help early care providers, TK-12th grade educators, and school staff recognize and respond to trauma and stress in children. Launched in July 2023, the training gives educators and early care providers the tools to help young people experiencing an overactivated stress response feel safe, secure, and ready to engage and learn so they can thrive in the classroom and beyond.

Launched Safe Spaces training modules in both English and Spanish. The launch announcement was supported by 40+ state and regional partners and more than 1,500 people completed the training in 2023.
Launched a Safe Spaces “Take the Training” promotion, reaching more than 2 million people.
Launched a social media campaign to create awareness of the opportunity for care and education personnel to review and provide feedback on the draft Safe Spaces training. Within the first two weeks, the campaign had almost 4,000 impressions.
Engaged more than 200 users in Safe Spaces beta testing.
Sent newsletter to over 3,800 childcare providers, educators and school personnel inviting them to review the learning modules and provide feedback.
Facilitated ongoing convening with subject matter expert review panel to develop training.
Signed contract for training development.
