The Long Beach Health Department and Long Beach Public Library (LBPL) have organized a new slate of educational events for the City’s Parent Informational Workshop series.

Through these workshops, early childhood experts will lead discussions geared towards parents and caregivers of young children ranging from infancy to 8 years old. Topics such as early childhood mental health, special education and early start intervention will be explored, with the goal of connecting families with developmental concerns about their child to local services.

The Parent Informational Workshop series is funded by Dive into Learning along with an Early Childhood Mental Health grant received from the California Department of Health Care Services as part of the statewide Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative.
